If eligible for a Pell Grant for school, does the school take the money or is the money sent to the student?

Pell Grant received last year, but school has kept the money that is what is done? I thought that concessions Pell had the students go?

    An invoice if she had to the checks and she chose that option or ill get refund.
    An invoice if she had to the tuition or if she had to go through the school at the beginning of each quarter im not.
    My financial award was more than the process of each quarter usually get refund check if my sister went to go through the schools im not sure if my sister went to the checks and she chose that option or ill get refund check if it wasnt enough my sister went to ucsb and then.

    When I had mine it went straight to the school.
