Question by Rich: High School Students: Would you work harder to get good grades if there was a cash incentive?
I am doing a report on the subject and was wondering what you thought as students. I would like to know if you think that a money reward would push you to do better or do you think it is encouraging students to learn for the wrong reasons? Think about and answer.

I got paid for my good grades; however, it wasn’t my reasoning for getting good grades. Punishment for getting bad grades is more effective than congratulating for good grades. Until you are financially independent, ie out of school, you’ll never fully be aware of the value of a dollar.

What do you think? Answer below!

If you have made a decision that you are going to take the plunge and enter the chaotic, fun, rewarding world of filmmaking, it is important to get rid of as much resistance to your goal as possible. The most typical form of resistance is debt. The first time you enter the film industry you might have to work for free. That is why if you have debts, you are already doomed from the beginning. It was three years after I decided that I wanted to pursue a career in film that I took my first job. It is not simple to work on a boring job just to eliminate my debts, but I need to resolve this problem first before I can follow my dream. If the reason why you are pursuing in a career in the film industry is because you love making movies rather than to earn money, then you now have a power over your competitors. Believe it or not, people in the film industry turn out to be slaves to their jobs just like everybody else.

These people find themselves trapped in a certain situation where they have no choice but to accept jobs in order to make ends meet. People who are free to pick and choose their work have negotiating leverage to not only get better work, but to get work that will boost their careers. Spend time building this freedom before you get locked into the life of a starving artist. Get rid of your financial obligations by paying it off and then find a way to generate a passive income for oneself.

If you are a creative person this tip will not seem sexy, but it will free you to be able to follow your passion the way most people dream of their whole lives. I love the film industry because it acts like a miniature, super-charged economy. The film industry is ever changing because film professionals do not work on a certain task for more than three months or one year. A movie is an opportunity to generate money and this can pass at the blink of an eye.

Accomplishment in the film industry can happen almost overnight compared to the total economy. However, it is not sufficient to possess creativity only. Entrepreneurial skill must come along. This means that you have to acquire some business skills to put your ideas to reality. Entrepreneurs have learned to master the creative/logical duality in their own brains. Creative people are amazing idea generators, but tend to be deficient in logical skills like decisiveness, persistence, and follow-through.

Federal Stafford Student Loans From Nextstudent Have Great Incentives On Already Low Rates

After exhausting all forms of “free money” for college, such as scholarships and federal grants, the next best thing for students are federal student loans (http://www.nextstudent.com) to help them pay for school. Federal Stafford student loans have low interest rates and are more appealing when they feature benefits and incentives, according to NextStudent, the Phoenix-based premier education funding company.

It is becoming much more difficult for some students to imagine their dream of a higher education, as college costs increasingly are on the rise along with the cost of tuition and other expenses. NextStudent believes that student loans (http://www.nextstudent.com/student-loans/student-loans.asp) should not be an extra burden to already cash-strapped college students, so the company offers incentives to make payments easier and more manageable.

. Federal Stafford loans do not require collateral or a credit check and payment is postponed until after graduation. There are no guarantee fees and students do not need a co-signer, these student loans have a low interest rate of 6.8 percent and are secured by the government.

NextStudent’s Stafford Student Loan Incentives

NextStudent has professionally trained Education Finance Advisers who know all the ins and outs of the numerous student loan programs offered. Types of Stafford Student Loans

There are two types of Stafford student loans: subsidized and unsubsidized. To qualify for a subsidized Stafford student loan a student must show financial need. The government pays the interest while a student is in school and during grace periods and deferment. With unsubsidized Stafford student loans, students are responsible for the interest; however, payment is deferred until after graduation. All students are eligible for unsubsidized Stafford loans.

Eligibility

Federal Stafford loans are eligible for federal student loan consolidation (http://www.nextstudent.com/) . There are no prepayment penalties. Repayment typically starts six months after graduation. In addition, there are alternate available repayment options, including deferment and forbearance.

In order to be eligible for a federal Stafford student loan, borrowers must either be enrolled at least half time in a degree or certificate program, a citizen of the United States or an eligible noncitizen, current on existing federal education loans, and a high school graduate or have an equivalency diploma.
